The great new Southern Classic Series rolls on to Tallasee, AL (near Auburn) at the famous Monster Mountain MX Park for the next round of the series this weekend, September 23-24, 2006
There will be organized practice Saturday day and then the Alabama Gold Cup Supercross Series will be later that afternoon. So, you get a full weekend of racing with the SCCS MX race wrapping up the weekend on Sunday.
This new series, only in its first year, has been outdrawing most AMA races (both GA and AL) so the rider turnouts have been great.
You DO NOT have to be an AMA member to race this series.
Contingency payouts are far and above any series around here. If you want to make good money (any age rider) then you should look into racing this series.
Next year, the Southern Classic will be even bigger with more GA tracks coming onboard next year. This will be THE series to be in for 2007.
Some of the south's favorite tracks are already in this series.
Bremen, Big Cedar, Monster Mtn, Millcreek are all in for this year. Sources tell me there are a few more Georgia tracks getting in the SCCS for 2007 so keep your eyes peeled.
Pro Purse Money is given and 50% Paypack in the age classes (+25 thru +45)
And don't forget the factory contingency money for Kawasaki and Suzuki at this round.
Practice Day is Saturday morning.
Supercross Race is Saturday afternoon.
MX Race is Sunday morning.
