I always find that talking to someone seems to work better than posting your issues with someone on a forum.

Plus when he is there he is in too much of a hurry to talk to anyone. Trust me we have had several chats with Mike way back when, when he was there all the time, now he is hardly there at all unless a big event is going on. Because I am female, I feel I've been pushed to the side on this issue. Take that as you will. The MAIN reason for my posting was to get input from other riders who are also concerned over the SX track/trail maintenance so Mike can read that input and give us his. I think face value is always better as well and I definitely don't have a problem doing that (ask anyone who knows me). I believe that is why they call it a FORUM, so that you can post issues on there, but thanks anyway!

I HAVE MISSED MAYBE 4 DAYS IN 4 MONTHS EXCEPT WHEN I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL WITH BROKEN RIBS AND IN THE BED FOR ALMOPST 2 WEEKS EVEN THEN I CAME DOWN TO MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WAS BEING DONE I WAS SO SORE AT THE LAST RACE I COULD HARDLY BREATH BUT I DID COME DOWN TO PRESENT THE TROPHIES FOR BOTH RACES AND EVEN FLAGGED PART OF THE ADULT RACE AND TRIED TO PICK UP A DOWNED BIKE IT WAS VERY PAINFUL BUT I WAS THERE AFTER THE EVENT I DID GO HOME AND TAKE PAIN KILLERS AND LAY DOWN I WAS EXHUSTED I AM BACK AT DP EVERYDAY 14-17 HR A DAY EATING TYLENOL BY THE HANDFULLS BUT I AM HERE JUST LIKE BEFORE I AM NOT PUSHING ANYONE TO THE SIDE I JUST BOUGHT $180,000 IN NEW EQUIPMENT THIS WEEK AND IT IS AT WORK TODAY ON THE TRAILS AND TRACKS NOT AT THE TRUCK PARK AS SOME MAY THINK IF I HAVE A NAME I WILL MAKE SURE YOU AND I CONNECT ON YOUR NEXT VISIT THANKS MIKE

I love DP, but I have avoided it lately due to the conditions (and fuel prices). I have wanted to post, but I knew that someone would jump in and tell me what a great guy Mike is and how hard he works and that I am a bum. Well, I know all of that stuff and agree 100%. That is why we were there in court too (I still have my sticker somewhere). I think this is exacly why this posting was started. Many of us are not "take our money elsewhere" people. It's funny how if someone asks for improvment(s) they are told to "Go ride somewhere else." That's silly. Can't this be discussed without such internet muscles being flexed? %@%!! Here we are taking part in the coolest family hobby and our blood pressure is going up. My guess is that if we all sat and talked in person this would be way different I hope when all is said and done with this post something positve comes from it. There are some valid points made. Posts: 1 (05/11/08 10:13:19) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	Most of you who are complaining say you in fact own your own businesses and with that being said, you should realize why Mike went up on the prices. I'm sure you all are raising your prices based upon the current price of gas. If you haven't already, I'm sure you will in the future because the gas is just going to keep going up. As far as the trails go, I'm here all the time and I see how hard everyone at DP works to try to do things to please the customers. I see nothing wrong with constructive critism, however, I do see something wrong with the way things were said. It could have been put differently. The comments made were like personal attacks on, not only Mike, but to all of the staff who work very hard to make everyone happy. Most of "Mike's" employees work over 12 hours a day. It takes a lot more to keep up 9 tracks then it does to keep up 1or 2, as is the case with most of the other tracks mentioned. Durhamtown tries to keep as much open as possible to allow as many riders as possible to ride. I have no doubt Mike will get the tracks in good shape once the weather permits. Most places do not have a staff there everyday of the week to help the customers. Mike puts a lot of time and effort into making the customer's visit as safe and as fun as possible. Sure, there can always be improvement, but as far as I'm concerned, Mike stays on top of whatever needs to be handled. I agree with him regarding the prior posts. Anyone who has issues with the management of Durhamtown should contact Mike by e-mail or phone and talk to him about it one on one. I have no doubt he will take whatever time necessary to discuss issues of concern. I am sure Mike welcomes opinions and takes all the comments into consideration. As we all know, you can NEVER please all the people all the time.

They all loved it and can't wait to come back. Best riding for family I have ever done. Please build a similar park in South or Central Florida and charge $50 per rider per day or more. You will have plenty of business.

We come to DP for the week of spring break just about every year. We have a great time, and always enjoy ourselves. Any time that I have ever had a problem or complaint, Mike was the person who came and addressed the situation, not an employee! That said, DP has grown alot since the first time that we came, there is not enough "Mike" to go around now. He can only do so much himself, and be in so many places at one time to handle everything that may happen. He does try to take care of everything personally, but it is just impossible for him to be everywhere at one time. That is what a good business man does. It takes a whole lot of work out of him and his employees to just open the doors every morning like they do, much less to satisfy every persons wants and needs. I think that they do a hell of a job, and I hope that they keep doing it for a long time to come! I was a Camping/Riding member at Broad River for two years, and I can tell you personally what happens when there is no Owner, Boss, or Manager onsite to run the park. It doesn' make you want to hang around very much longer. If you want perfectly groomed tracks to ride on, join the Supercross series, if you just love, and want to ride, support your local, or maybe not so local ATV/Motorcycle track...
