Hey Tater just for the record there have not been 10 people at the 4x4 park I crashed and broke ribs and have not been there in 3 weeks I had all intentions of
going over there with newly hired employees now they are working the atv park as well
we went today with recently hired contractors not involved with dp my first visit over there FYI..............
I have never taken away from dp for the 4x4 park
about SCTANK i would not know him if i saw him NO FREE RIDES TO ANYONE maybe he is a business man and understands true cost to operate a real business and maybe he did not find DP until a few months ago and did not see DP 4 yrs ago when I gave it away for nothing for 3 yrs....
back then it was 6 employees and 2 bobcats... now over 50 employees and 5 dozer 5 bobcats and 0ver $100,000 in taxes and dozens of other support vehicles with very few riders back then they did very little packing on the trails now over 1000/week ride the trails and UTVs are very heavy and pack very hard as well
no we will not till all the trackks and never planned to we have riders who come here from all over the world London just last week and hundreds form 300-1000 miles away rained on saturday and rode on sunday wanted to go to AONIA monday and tuesday and it was closed due to rain it was a slop track for 3 days I was the only tracks open how would you fee if you drove 11 hrrs and all 9 tracks were closed due to tilling and it has rained every weekend except 2 since Jan 1 I have to look at the masses not just a few when the clay gets hard it is not tillable with any machine potholes I understand they can be fixed but water and damp clay has to be brought in or it just chunks more and more
this is GA red CAy and is very difficult not a qualifying MX facility red clay turns into red powder in 1 day if it is tilled it is worse than ice and less safe than hard pack in our experiences
we monitor our accidents and adjust accordingly what is the best for 7 days a week ridng not just a weekend facility

I have tried to do my best with every part of dp and make as many happy as possible just seems the more we do and offer the more we get complaints I am helping Carolina Adventure World with some issues hoping they will take some pressure off of DP same for Highland I will support them as well Rumours from Broad River employees is they are closing shortly that means one less palce to ride
I am fighting the State of Ga Dept of Sales Tax in superior Court for the entire industry in Ga if I lose they plan to attack every facility and group (setra gncc ) for back taxes penalties and intrest since they have existed watch every facility fold up they have found millions of past $$$ they did not collect we lost in a hearing with the Attourney General this week one blow that helped them I want 12 people decide if I should and every facility should pay for the past they want sales tax on every ride fee since anyone opened

My question would be....if you don't like it or think
it's unsafe then get on down the road and don't comeback...My family and I have been going to DP for over 5 years as well (have introduced 5 other
families to DP also) and we have seen it go from the virtually unknown to the just recently MX , ATV off road resort. I have seen it go from 4 motorcycle and 4
atv rentals to what 50 rides to rent from now....1 pressure washer ha ha to an awesome bike wash area....a shed by the cafateria for atv and motorcycle maint.
to their new sales center and maintanence shop.....cafateria go from being shut down with hay on the floor to a newley designed eating area.....1 girl at the
counter doing all the check-ins and answering phones (still miss "K" very much!!!!) to what now 3 computers to sign in with and two desk for check-in
know???? 4x4 off-road park....How about some more......probably at least 16 new trails for ATV's as well as Motorcycles....several new motorcycle only
trails.....5-6 employees to now over 50 employees!!!! several new cabins and Rv parking areas......how about all the events held at DP.....labor day
weekend....memorial day weekend....fourth of july......thanksgiving....new years fireworks.....I could go on and on with more of the same. Mike has gone
overboard in my opinion trying to keep this place open and fun for all, when you sit back it looks as if its a daunting task..got to wonder why he does it
sometimes. Going back to when he was under fire and they were trying to shut him down to having to answer posts such as these makes you wonder why he
doesn't just throw his hands up and say the hell with it all......but he dosen't thank goodness. We just recently stayed up at durhamtown the 1st week
of April Weds through Saturday- we were supposed to stay untill sunday but it rained friday afternoon and saturday was a frogstranggler all day.....Mike's
staff closed 7 of the new trails for ATVs and we were extremely upset...(5 hour ride to get there from Fla.) not only did we cut our vacation short but we only
got to ride the same old usual trails...it was quite a bummer....I (we) could have done the same thing here and blasted Mike and DP for that...but we realize
that he was trying to save the trails for the future enjoyment and not tear them up...the point here is that Mike and DP...don't control the
weather ha ha!! seriously though, I think you got to take Mike's establishment as a whole and give him and his staff an A+.....yes there may
be an issue here or there; nobody or business is perfect, and a little constructive criticism is not a bad thing.
