I posted this in a few forums for the broadest exposure, so excuse me if you have seen it already.
I was hoping to get some advice on an RV set up that would get my family and our trailer from Charleston to Durhamtown and back. (Of course I have total confidence in Mike keeping Durhamtown open for everyone to enjoy!)
I have no RV experience at all and welcome any suggestions on setup, type, make, model, dealers, prices etc. My family is me, my wife and 5 young kids and we usually bring a guest or two (a total of 7 to 9). I know they dont sleep that many, I am most concerned with the travel aspect. We currently go to DP with our trailer, pulled by my truck and my wife has to drive an additional vehicle to get the remainder of the family there. The truck is about to crap out, so I would like to replace it with an RV that can tow the trailer we have, and eliminate the need for an extra vehicle on our trips. The RV would also allow us to make other trips in more comfort.
Our trailer is an enclosed 7 x 16 trailer for our bikes, tools etc. I figure at most it will weigh a total of 7000 lbs when fully loaded with everything we bring to Durhamtown.
Any help is greatly appreciated
