So impressed, I had to put the note in the other forum to bring attention to this. Just bought a stock '06 CRF230 about 2 weeks ago. Of course, the first thing I do is pull the baffle out of the exaust. Didnt realy notice much with this. But, as we all know, it was the 1st step. (who wants to ride a stock dirt bike anyway)?
Next I start reading about power mods. Changing colors and grafix will come later. Short of spending 300.00 on exaust the only other real option was carberation. To make it short, I came across a (buy now) deal on e-bay. This company in FLA was promising big power gains on the CRF 150 and 230 just by changing the main jet. At 11.00 I figured, why not? So, 2 nights ago, I was in the barn about midnight cleaning the stock air filer, loosing the snorkle and installing the new .122 main jet. The stock jet was .102 This all took about 20 minutes.
Moral of the story- Now the front tire is air happy and I can even feel it in my forearms. I am impressed! And all this is without even buying the high flow air filter "yet".
Just thought someone out there might want to know 'bout this little trick. Havent priced the jet at the local Honda dealer and this one came with no instuctions. But I direct anyone interested to a web site with real good instructions and it even has pictures. Good ridde'n to all, See ya at DT!
